№03 — La Habana, Cuba
Fragments of a city I carry with me.
This miniature brings together architectural details from different corners of Old Havana, the historic heart of the city where I come from.
Rather than reproducing a particular building, I combined elements inspired by real places into a single composition: a weathered wall, a wooden door, a small street lantern, and a flower resting beside the entrance.
I wanted to capture something of the atmosphere of colonial Havana — its textures, its imperfections, and the quiet beauty of buildings that have witnessed generations of everyday life.
This was also the first piece in which I experimented with clay, hand-sculpting the small flower beside the door.
A personal interpretation of a city that remains part of me, no matter where I am.
